Its time for my dining room make over. I would like to keep it simple and I turned to AI for help. Below, please find some suggested ideas and help me choose.

A few things I am considering:

1. Change the light for sure. I don’t like the current light fixture. I may do a rattan lampshade or might do Italian style (see photo).
2. I don’t mind the color, I am leaning toward removing the wall paper and paint the spot with the existing color on other walls.
3. I don’t have a rug at the moment, if i am going to keep it simple i will add a jute rug.
4. Change curtains to white, they will bring airy feel on the space.
5. I am debating if i should paint the built in cabinet white? Leaving as-is is also fine with me.
6. Changing dining table and chairs is unnecessary, but I can change chairs for a change ($)
7. I truly like the puritan style. It is clean, light, and focus. I might have to paint upper wall white and add white wall panels on the bottom wall.

Conclusion: I can either go crazy and completely transform this place to look English or maximalist, or I can adjust minor changes such as removing the wallpaper and cover the wall with same color as the rest of dining room walls, i have it sitting in the basement. And I can add white curtain and new light fixture and call it a day.
